About Frog Pond Yoga Teachers:
Richard Abbott
Richard has practiced Yoga and meditation for many years. In the recent
past he has studied Ashtanga Yoga with Richard Freeman, Tom Gillette,
and Regina and M.S. Viswanath. He teaches all Frog Pond's Ashtanga Yoga
classes. Richard has also studied extensively with Dr. V.S.. Rao of
High-Tech Yoga and is a certified High-Tech teacher. He continues his
study of Raja Yoga with Dr. Rao and is a dedicated student of the Ashtanga
Yoga style of Pattabhi Jois.
Diane Featherstone
Co-founder of Frog Pond Yoga Center, Diane has 25 years experience studying
and practicing Yoga. Her teaching style is eclectic, based on the different
major traditions she has experienced over the years, including those
of Swami Sivananda, B.K.S. Iyengar and Kripalu Yoga Center. For the
past fifteen years Diane has been studying Raja Yoga with Dr. V.S. Rao
of the High-Tech Yoga Institute of America. Her teachings are based
on the eight-fold path of classical Yoga taught by Sage Patanjali in
his definitive work The Yoga Sutras. Diane also holds a Masters
Degree in Yoga Education from Shi Siddha Yoga Gupha, Sumai, India.
John Featherstone
Co-founder of Frog Pond Yoga Center, John has practiced and taught Yoga
for fifteen years. His teaching style is predominantly influenced by
Dr. Rao's High-Tech Yoga techniques to provide an integrated class based
on the eight limbs of Yoga as developed by sage Patanjali in The
Yoga Sutras. Formal Hatha Yoga Teacher Training was undertaken at
Swami Satchidananda's Integral Yoga Ashram in Virginia. John also holds
a Masters Degree in Yoga Education from Shi Siddha Yoga Gupha, Sumai,
India.
Lisa Harris
Lisa is a certified Yoga teacher in the Frog Pond Yoga tradition. She
is currently teaching adults and children aged 4-12 years. She is also
collaborating with Diane Featherstone on "Moving Through Menopause"
workshops in Princeton on April 19 and 20 and at the Northeast Organic
Farming Association (NOFA) conference at Hampshire College August 9
and 10.
Peter Marquis
Realizing life as a Spiritual Path and acknowledging Baba Ram Dass,
Mantak Chia and Dr. V.S. Rao as major influences in his life, Peter
offers to share his experiences in Yoga, Taoist Yoga and meditation
to the straight, gay, bisexual, lesbian and H.I.V. community. Gender
Free Yoga.
Diane Spindler-Ranta
Diane is a licensed psychotherapist and a certified Yoga teacher in
the Frog Pond Yoga tradition. She teaches Yoga to seniors and adolescent
boys and girls.
